Energy is everything
Today, I’m preparing to run a workshop on grounding and centering, and so I am OF COURSE thinking about energy.
Energy is everything.
Not to get all English teachery on you, but that above simple sentence “A is B” can be flipped and restated as “B is A”. In which case you get:
Everything is energy.
That first sentence (“energy is everything”) could mean that energy is the most important thing. That whatever we are, or are doing, it’s all about energy. Or that your energy defines how things are going for you.
That second sentence could mean that we are all composed of energy, and so is every other being or object in this world.
We know that’s true on a scientific level, since every last thing in the known universe is composed of atoms, and atoms are energetic beings all on their own, what with protons, neutrons, and electrons. And those electrons zip around and sometimes get shared with other atoms.
But that second sentence “everything is energy” can also lead us to look at what kind of energy things are. And how our energy interacts with the other energies that surround us.
It’s my belief that our intention has a lot to do with our energy: how we use it, where we leave it, and more. We are energy, but we can also use energy with intention to get what we want, or where we want to go.
Energy is both a way of being and a tool that we can use with intention.
Energy is what fuels us, but it’s also in existence when we are potatoes (couch or otherwise). It can be active or potential. It can be scientifically explained, yet we often try to make believe it’s something inexplicable.
Some of us have to budget our physical energy due to chronic illness or other health conditions. I’d argue that MOST of us should be monitoring our physical energy reserves on a daily basis so that we don’t repeatedly over-exert and wind up with a chronic issue.
As I wrote the meditation for tonight, I was thinking a lot of how lax and unintentional most of us are about our energy on a daily basis. We “spend” our energy on stuff that doesn’t matter to us, and then wonder why our energetic tanks are on empty when it’s time to do the things that would make a difference in our lives.
The meditation I wrote is all about how to refill your energetic tank. It includes drawing more energy from the earth, as well as returning things that no longer serve you to the earth to be composted and converted to positive energy for later. It includes removing any energy leeches that have attached themselves to you (more on that in a future post), as well as calling your energy back from the many places you’ve left it over the course of the day (or week, month, or longer).
Since energy is everything, and everything is energy, getting that energy balanced and flowing properly is an amazing starting point to every other thing you want in life.
