Beltane blessings

Sumer is icumen in.*

Join me in circle with other women on May 2nd to welcome the coming of summer. In past times, when the spring season was just an idea, things shifted from winter to summer and back—and this is the time marking that shift to summer. It is about honoring and celebrating the fertility of the earth, and traditionally includes a focus on sex as well. (While we will discuss that, rest assured there will be no sex during our circle!)

Traditionally, it is marked with fire and smoke, with flowers and ribbons, with celebration and song.

*The phrase at the top of this post is the title and first line of one such song: “sumer is icumen in”, meaning “summer is coming in” (or starting). It’s the oldest surviving song written in the English language, though it is in a form of English no longer used.

the word "Beltane" spelled out in old typewriter keys, and the word "blessings" handwritten on a piece of paper, surrounded by flowers, candles, crystals, ribbons

We will join in circle to celebrate Beltane, and the coming of the May. This being a time of transition in the year, we will honor our own transitions and write down new intentions in the areas of love, fertility, creativity and prosperity for the coming year to be offered to the fire.

In addition to our circle time, I will share a crop blessing with you that you can use for your own garden or plants. I will also share instructions for making a flower crown for yourself if it is something you would like to do during the weekend.

I am offering each attendee the gift of a single-card pull from my Seasons of the Witch Beltane Oracle Deck. You will receive your card reading independently in a private email.

Tickets are priced at $33 each. Three dollars ($3) from each ticket sold will be donated to Feeding America, as a means of spreading abundance with those in need. I’ve set a limit of 24 people for attendance, to ensure that I have the capacity to hold the space for us all.

Séance: Angel Cards with Andrew Barker of Tarot With Andrew

You are invited . . .

I will be hosting my first séance (a term used for a sit-down that includes communication from the spirit realm) on Wednesday, April 9th, from 8-9:30 pm with Andrew Barker. Andrew is a tarot and angel card reader, a psychic who helps others with their psychic development and an energy healer. I am delighted that I get to call him my friend, as well. We met over Instagram (yes, I know—I actually make good friends over social media!) and met in person last year at an Abraham Hicks function. Are we not the cutest?

I must confess that I don’t even know the names of all the angels, let alone what their functions are. But Andrew? Andrew knows this stuff cold. AND he is an amazing card reader. Last year, I booked an angelic tableau reading with him, and it was SPECTACULAR. It is an 18-card reading that Andrew developed himself in consultation with his spirit guides and the angels. And it offers so much insight!

Needless to say, I am excited to learn more about the angels from Andrew. He has said that he became attuned to the angels after (abusively, imo) being told to “pray the gay away”—the angels wrapped their wings around him and told him he was loved for who he is. (Can I get an amen?)

Since this is a séance and not a workshop, Andrew will be pulling angel cards for various participants, offering them the guidance that the angels (through the cards) hold for them at this point in time. He will not be doing an angelic tableau reading, but I know you can book one on his website for $77.77 (on sale).

Energetic exchange for this séance is $55. Attendance is limited to 13 people to allow everyone time to ask a question and get a card reading. This will be recorded, so you can submit your question in advance if you are unable to attend live.

January Salon: Be Ready When the Luck Happens

Be Ready When the Luck Happens

Join me for an afternoon salon to discuss Ina Garten’s memoir. Registrants will receive a Zoom link, a PDF list of possible topics, and a recipe for a snack and beverage à la Ina Garten.

  • WHEN: Wednesday, January 8th at 1 pm EST (expect to run about 1-1/2 hours to allow for fuller discussion).

  • WHERE: In your own space, via Zoom.

  • WHAT: It’s a salon: a gathering with a host, focused this time on Ina Garten’s book and some of the thoughts inside it about gender roles, feminism, relationships, business, and more. You should probably-maybe read or listen to the book, Be Ready When the Luck Happens by Ina Garten, prior to the salon.

  • COST: This is a pay-what-you-want event. In addition to our salon, you will be receiving a PDF of possible topics (which can be used for journaling topics as well), along with recipes for a beverage and a snack. After all, this IS an Ina Garten-related event, so obviously we need food. How fun is that?

Ground and Center

Join me on Zoom on Tuesday, February 28th from 7-8:15 pm EST to ground and center yourself, and maybe to set, re-evaluate, or re-prioritize your 2023 goals.

We will be gathering together at 7 p.m. EST for a grounding and centering ritual, some guided meditation, and some guided journaling to help us claim (or re-claim) our goals and priorities for 2023. Join me to close out the month of February and get ready for the coming spring!

The event will take place via Zoom from 7 pm to roughly 8:15 pm EST. It will be recorded, so if you cannot make it, you will still have access to the space and the event.

This is a pay-what-you-want event, so as to allow it to be as inclusive as possible.
