The sun is shining on a brand new day
It’s August, and of course that means that we’ve had a LOT of sunny days. It’s often hot as hell here in southern New Jersey where I live. At least it’s not as hot as it is for my daughter and my folks who live in South Carolina, where it’s been as hot and humid as Satan’s front porch.
As each day arrives, I try to remind myself that the sun is shining on a brand new day. A new day to try something new. To take a chance. To make a change. Cue Abba singing “Take a Chance on Me” on brainradio.
Maybe you are just coasting through the remainder of the summer, trying to chillax and enjoy the warmth as fall starts to sneak toward us. Maybe you are packing up to go on vacation, or make a big move: to a new house, or to move a kid to school. If you’re a parent, maybe you are shopping for school supplies, or have already sent your kiddos off for the new school year.
Each day is an invitation for you. A brand new day, as the graphic says.
Each day, I try to ask myself if I am stepping purposefully toward the future I want, or if I’m just coasting. (Or, worse yet, allowing myself to backslide in some way.)
The quote I just shared is pinned on the wall above my desk, where I can see it when I sit down to write or to meet with clients. The little “freak flag” points right at it, if you look at the photo below.
Today, I need to be the kind of person who remembers to share what’s going on around here, in addition to (I hope) offering a bit of inspiration.
If you are thinking of making a change in any area of your life, whether large or small, because you’re in the process of “becoming,” I invite you to join me this Thursday, August 11th at 1 p.m. EDT via Zoom for free group coaching. Just message me here to let me know you want the link!
What kinds of changes? Well, I’ve had clients who wanted to start a new habit, which could be anything as simple as remembering to wash your face before bed each night, or something far more complicated. I’ve had clients who are ready to start a new job, or stop working. Clients who need support and guidance in how to set a new boundary when dealing with someone in their life.
Basically, if you are gonna make a change and want some support as you do it, including cheering you on as you work up the nerve to do it, life coaching is awesome for that. Or, at least, I am awesome at that, as one of the things I do as a life coach.
This Thursday is an especially auspicious day to try out life coaching, since it’s the Full Moon in Aquarius. Full moons are excellent for letting go of the stuff that no longer serves you and making positive changes in your life. And the Full Moon in Aquarius is great for assessing your daily habits and routines, especially as they pertain to productivity, work and health!
Let’s get you ready for that brand new day. Just fill out the contact form and let me know you want the Zoom link to join on Thursday. I’d love to see you there!
