Here's how to clear the air—or at least the energy
It’s a new year. It doesn’t mean you have to take off to the races, or set a lot of goals, or make resolutions.
But one thing that is a great thing to do this time of year is to clear out any of the things that no longer serve you—the things that you want to leave in the past. That could be clothes and shoes that no longer fit you, piles of paper you no longer need, dishes or pans that are broken or that you don’t want any more.
And for sure, it means stale energy left over from 2023.
Just as dust bunnies can gather in the corners and under your furniture, energetic dust bunnies gather in the upper corners of your room.
If you’ve ever walked into a room after an argument has taken place, you can likely still feel that jangly energy hanging in the air. That energy then drifts up and into the corners, along with any other energy that stopped circulating properly. It joins “everyday” energy, grief energy, stuff left from service providers or guests, and more.
If you don’t “clean” or clear that energy to get it back to circulating properly, it will continue to accumulate, getting heavier and heavier, turning into an energetic weighted blanket that just makes you feel blah or numb, heavy or tuned-out. Depending on the nature of the energy field that forms in your corners, it could also make you feel more nervous or anxious. It can sap or drain your personal energy by overwhelming it.
The thing is, it turns out that clearing the energy and getting it to move properly again is pretty simple. There are tons of tools or supplies you can use, but in all honesty, you can easily do it with things you already have—including your bare hands.
Over on Instagram, I’ve shared a couple of videos I made in my walk-in closet to talk about how pervasive grief energy can be, and about how to clear the energy and get it moving properly again.
Here’s where you can snag your copy of my Energy Clearing guide, which will help you get stuck or stale energy moving again. It has tips for both clapping into corners and using other tools, such as smoke, oils, crystals, bells, and more.
