Turn, turn, turn

Turn, turn, turn

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.
— Ecclesiastes 3:1

It’s time to turn again.

Turn the wheel of the year. Turn your thoughts to the fall and coming winter.

Gardeners will be turning their gardens under, making decisions as to what they will do next.

Will they leave the space fallow for a bit, to allow the soil a deep rest? Will they amend the soil first, or leave it alone?

Are there things that need to be cut back or altogether cleared away?

Is it time to plant a small winter crop?

I invite you to turn over these questions as well.

What are you ready to get rid of? Scale back on? When are you planning to rest? (Note: “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” is not a good answer.) What are you planting/planning for the fall and winter? How can you set yourself up for long-term success?

One of the things I’m clearing away is hustle work. One of the things I’m adding is more rest. No—more rest than that. Lots of rest, is what I’m saying.

I’m also delving into the questions I’ve written above, and evaluating what to keep and what to prune in my business and in my home. Because each area of life is related to every other.

Want some help working things through? Set up a 1:1 coaching session with me. It’s a full hour on zoom, just the two of us, for $150.

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.
