What are you planning?

What are you planning?

Whatever you’re thinking about is literally like planning a future event. When you’re worrying, you are planning. When you’re appreciating, you are planning… What are you planning?
— Abraham (Hicks)

Today, I’d like to talk a bit about planning. But I’m not necessarily talking about conscious planning.

You see, while you can plan a trip or a meeting, plan for childcare or pet care or caregiving of parents or someone else, plan for a date or a divorce, it is also possible to plan for things without meaning to.

If you are spending a lot of time inside your head worrying that you are spending too much money, or that you are going to wreck your car, or that a conversation you need to have will be stressful and difficult, then you are planning to spend too much money, wreck your car, and have a difficult time with that conversation.

It turns out that you can harness the power of thought to work in your favor. It can be as simple as replacing a worry with a positive thought instead. (It’s simple, but not always easy, to do.) One way to start is to find something that you DO want in your life, and to create an affirmation or mantra around it.

Lately, I’ve been planning to have an expansive fall. My affirmation is “I lead an expansive life of ease.” I am hoping for the sort of season that gives me plenty of time to read, to focus on the good things in life, to rest, and to spend time creating good things in my business. I’m not 100% positive what those are yet, but it’s likely that they will include a blend of coaching tools and energy work.

Practical, and also magic.

So tell me: what have you been planning? I’d love to hear the things you actually want, but also the things you’ve been focusing on that perhaps you don’t want.

Reminder: If you want to explore your desires in a fun (but focused!) way, you can join me on Saturday, September 23rd for Dream It, Do It, a 3-hour workshop that lets you get in touch with your subconscious wishes, bring them into the light, and figure out whether and how to make them real. Details here.
