I spent a week in Virginia Beach on a writing retreat

While I was there, I wrote one essay for publication elsewhere, and a whole bunch of journal entries.

Those journal entries helped me truly shift some beliefs, which is WILD.

Having the space and time to just be—with no other expectations—was so freeing. I walked on the beach. I sat and stared at waves. I ate wonderful meals prepared by one of the other retreaters (it’s her favorite thing to do!). I participated in deep conversations with the other 9 women there, in addition to having a hell of a lot of fun.

What I guess I’m saying is: retreats are good. Taking time and space for yourself and your thoughts and dreams is good.

Oh—and Love is Everwhere:

A small bracken heart lays on the sand.

Any chance you are thinking about going on a retreat within the next 18 months? I’d love to hear about it.
