Every leaf speaks bliss to me: get ready to fall for fall
In just over a week, autumn will arrive. Depending on where you live, the trees may already be starting to lighten their load of leaves. They can be such show-offs at this time of year, and I am here for it.
With the ongoing issues we are all facing due to the pandemic, and the stress that comes with all of those issues, it’s a good time to focus on creating a good season for ourselves. As I often say, when you focus on what you want, it will come into your life. Heck, that particular mantra is written out on an index card and is sitting next to me as I type.
I’ve been feeling a bit more anxious than usual lately. I can tell by how easily I jump when Morris turns up unannounced, and by how untethered I feel. It is a condition that I see in a lot of my friends, as well.
Luckily there are things we can do to feel more grounded. Things like being in nature, meditation or mindfulness (paying attention to what you are doing and where you are counts), and purposefully working with your own energy and the energy of your space to feel more rooted and secure all help.
All of those things are things we will be doing as part of the Falling for Fall Challenge, which begins this weekend. The core of the challenge is five days of mindful emails that will be sent out starting Sunday, September 19th. Each of the five emails is its own small, mindful break from the day. Time for you to regroup, center, and ground yourself.
In addition, there is a Fall Bingo sheet for you to download and play. Once you get Bingo, let me know by message, comment, or email, and you will be entered to win one of three prizes: An “Actually, I Can” mug from Heart & Hand by Magnolia with Target; a $10 Starbucks gift card so you can get a Pumpkin Spice Latte or some other fall treat; and the grand prize—a free ticket to one of my Dream It, Do It workshops, valued at $97.
I hope you will join me!
If you can, I invite you to join me for this challenge. This invitation includes a free group coaching session with me this Friday at 4 pm ET or Saturday at 1 pm ET, where we will engage in a guided meditation to help you greet the fall and make peace with it, plus some journaling and goal-setting so that you can be sure to have the best fall ever. If you can’t make one of the Zoom calls, don’t sweat it—there’s a “no Zoom call” option.
Starting Sunday, you will receive the five mindful emails. Plus there will be a live announcement of the winners next Friday to see who gets the above prizes. Though truly, everyone who participates is a winner because you get to transition into the fall season in a calm and grounded manner, with a plan in place to make sure you enjoy the autumn.
